High street giant Superdrug, which rivals health and beauty retailers like Boots, Sephora and Debenhams beauty hall, has announced plans to open more stores across the country.

A grand total of 25 new Superdrug stores has been announced. One of the bigger 'best in class' stores is planned to open in Manchester's Trafford Centre.

The date for this is yet to be confirmed. It is estimated that 25 new stores will equate to 570 jobs in the UK. The investment in the new stores is part of its “Online + Offline” platform strategy with the bigger Superdrug stores focusing on "enhancing the physical shopping experience".
