Stockport Road in Longsight closed after serious collision at Stanley Grove junction - latest updates

A major road in Greater Manchester is closed this morning (Friday, February 24) after a serious collision late last night. Emergency services are dealing with with the incident on Stockport Road, Longsight.

The road is closed in both directions at the junction with Stanley Grove. On Twitter, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) advised anyone planning bus travel to check with their operators.

Its tweet at 11.45pm read: "Stockport Road, Longsight is currently closed in both directions at the junction with Stanley Grove. "Emergency services are dealing with a serious collision at this junction.
