Southampton may struggle to convince Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi to move to St Mary’s this summer, believes transfer insider Dean Jones. The Saints have reportedly asked about taking the 21-year-old on loan, but Jones is not sure if a switch to the south coast would appeal to him.
As per The Guardian, Hudson-Odoi has told Chelsea that he wants to leave the club on loan. The £120,000-a-week English attacker was left out of the Blues’ matchday squad for their 1-0 win against Everton over the weekend, so it looks like he is some way down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
Southampton are one outfit who are thought to be keen on signing Hudson-Odoi, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently revealing that they have enquired about taking him for the season.
Last term, Hudson-Odoi made just 11 starts in the Premier League, though he was unavailable for some fixtures due to a problem with his Achilles tendon.
