Manchester United have already beaten Manchester City at Wembley this year and this weekend marks round two in a psychological thriller.
After closing out last season with a shock 2-1 win over the Blues in the FA Cup final, United will go toe-to-toe with their cross-city rivals once more ahead of the new campaign, with another win indicating that May’s meeting was no fluke.
The reality is that Man City are still favourites and will be going for their first shield since 2019 having lost the last two editions.
Both they and United embarked on pre-season tours of the USA but will only cross paths this summer in London on Saturday.
