Ryan Kent reveals that his former Rangers teammate Ridvan Yilmaz gave him some insider knowledge on Turkish football before deciding to make the switch.
The winger also admits he can't wait to line up with former Manchester City and Roma forward Edin Dzeko and Fenerbahce. The 26-year-old made his Turkish footballing berth this week during a pre-season friendly in Russia against Zenit St Petersburg, playing 83 minutes before being substituted off.
Despite his excitement to get going, before he agreed to sign for Fenerbahce, Kent sought advice from Rangers' £5.3 million full-back Yilmaz, who had previously played for Besiktas in the league.
The former Scottish Premiership title-winner Kent said: "I spoke to Ridvan Yilmaz before I decided to sign for Fenerbahce, but I have to say that I didn't want anyone to influence my decision and I already knew about the size of Fenerbahce. "The most important factor for me is that this club always plays to win and the huge ambition they have.
