Manchester United’s hunt for a midfielder seems to be heading for a Mason Mount conclusion with personal terms agreed with the Chelsea playmaker.

A fee is currently being discussed with a difference of opinion about the £70m price tag given Mount only has 12 months remaining on his contract.

Mount, who United value at £50m, would undoubtedly bolster the midfield ranks. However, some fans are eager to see the club sign a back-up for Casemiro.

Depending on how the takeover saga ends and what effect it has on the transfer budget, that may come this window ever after Mount is signed.
