Alejandro Garnacho doubled his goal tally for the season by scoring a brace in Manchester United's 7-0 thrashing of Barnsley in the third round of the Carabao Cup at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

Handed just his second start of the season, the Argentine scored either side of half-time to help United book their place in the next round of the competition with minimal fuss.

As well as scoring twice, the 20-year-old created two of United's five other goals, providing the assists for Marcus Rashford's two efforts.

Garnacho now has seven direct goal contributions (goals and assists) in just six games this season.
