Rio Ferdinand has sent a brutal message to Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz following Manchester United's 3-1 win on Sunday.

Erik ten Hag's side secured the points late on at Villa Park thanks to another Scott McTominay winner. Rasmus Hojlund had given United the lead in the first half, after prodding home from Harry Maguire's header.

But the Brazilian restored parity in the second half before antagonising defender Raphael Varane with an exuberant celebration.

The midfielder was left with egg on his face, however, when McTominay was in the right place at the right time to secure a fourth straight win for United.
