A return to Rangers for fan favourite Joe Aribo is being touted this summer - and Southampton boss and former Ibrox loanee Russell Martin appears to have left the door open for an exit.

The Nigeria international endured a disappointing debut campaign in the English Premier League following his move to the south coast having been used sparingly by three bosses last season - Ralph Hasenhuttl, Nathan Jones and Ruben Selles - and dropped to the U23s at times this season on the clubs way to relegation.

Aribo is facing the prospect of playing Championship football next term with Southampton and talk of an exit for the playmaker has ramped up with Besiktas reportedly keen on taking the playmaker to Turkey this summer.

But there is no doubt there are sections of the Rangers support that would love to see the 27-year-old back in light blue this summer during Michael Beale's summer reshuffle.
