Rangers are ‘at an advanced stage’ in contract talks with striker Robbie Ure following his impressive start to the season, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke. The 18-year-old has worked his way into the first-team plans of manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst and looks set to commit his long-term future to his boyhood club.
Ure was handed his senior debut by Van Bronckhorst in Rangers’ Round of 16 League Cup tie against Queen of the South at Ibrox last month.
And the teenager grasped his big opportunity with both hands, scoring in the 3-1 victory over the League One outfit to announce himself to the Gers faithful.
He has also impressed for Rangers B in the Lowland League, registering two goals and three assists in seven appearances, showcasing his top-class potential.
