There was steam coming out of my ears on Wednesday as a bad night became an unforgivable one. So I’m not about to make excuses for a performance and a result which humiliated Rangers fans all over the country.
And I won’t criticise the supporters for reacting so angrily after seeing seven goals flying into Allan McGregor’s net as Liverpool ran amok in the Champions League.
I had it drummed into me from a very early age that any defeat is a disaster when you’re lucky enough to be wearing that blue shirt.
So you can imagine how I felt watching that complete capitulation. It was unacceptable. It was painful. And with every goal that went in during that second half, I felt myself cringe.
