Steve Clarke says he’s not loosing sleep over facing Erling Haaland but the Hotline’s Tartan Army contingent aren’t quite so confident.
The Scotland boss is refusing to worry too much given the fact he’s got a list of Premier League players who know what to expect from the Manchester City goal machine.
But Gavin MacLeod, Renfrew, said: “It’s nice hearing Clarke saying Scotland don’t fear Haaland. Scotland have made immense improvement under the Ayrshire Ancelotti but I have to confess the overconfidence is a worry. “Clarke has built recent results on solid performances from guys like Declan Gallagher and Ryan Porteous against, and we have to be frank here, a sub-par Spain side.
Haaland is inevitable. His teammates will not create what he gets at Man City, but his Terminator-esque demeanour means only one thing – he’ll be back!” James McSorley, Bothwell, added: “Was it Alfie Inge that Clarke was taking about when he said he doesn't fear Haaland? “Under Clarke Scotland have always been well prepared so I hope his comment was just some mind games otherwise we could be on the end of a drubbing.” Celtic fans are worrying too as rumours linking Ange Postecoglou to the Spurs gig continue.
