Unhappy Philippe Clement has told Scottish Professional Football League chiefs they need to up their game and improve the standards of our top-flight pitches.
The Rangers boss was left frustrated after the late call-off of to their Premiership clash at Dundee. The Dens Park pitch was heavily sanded and referee Don Robertson came in for second inspection and deemed the surface unplayable less than two hours before kick-off.
Clement stated that Scottish football has rules for floodlighting, etc and now they must do the same for pitch because they should be the one area that should be elite.
He said: “It’s a very important thing for the future that a league thinks about how to raise the level of the pitches and put standards on that like they do on other things.
