Peter Schmeichel is puzzled about Erik ten Hag's decision to take off Aaron Wan-Bissaka during Manchester United’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham.

The Reds were 2-1 up when the right-back was hooked with 20 minutes to go. Diogo Dalot, who started at left-back, switched over to his usual right flank spot as Tyrell Malacia came on to feature on the left.

United looked notably more fragile at the back and Schmeichel questioned Malacia’s impact on the game, especially critiquing his decision-making for Spurs’ equaliser through Son Heung-min on 79 minutes. The former United goalkeeper told Premier League Productions: “That second goal, I don’t know what Malacia is doing. “The ball runs straight past him and he just looks at it.
