Philippe Clement wants answers over why Rangers conceded a penalty for a handball against Kilmarnock - only to be denied one for the same offence at the death in his side’s win at Rugby Park.

The Light Blues fell behind in Ayrshire after the ball struck John Lundstram’s arm and Danny Armstrong converted from the spot.

But James Tavernier’s free kick screamer and a Tom Lawrence goal earned the Scottish Premiership leaders a huge three points.

However, Clement was perplexed after Rangers were denied a spot kick of their own late on after the ball appeared to strike ex Ibrox kid Lewis Mayo on the hand and the Belgian said: “I want to know why our penalty was given against us but the late one for us was not.” But Clement reckons it could be a huge three points at the end of the season and said: “It’s a massive win because we knew this was a hard place to go to.
