Manchester United's takeover has been a slow and painful process for supporters. Fans have watched on as momentum seemingly swayed from INEOS' Sir Jim Ratcliffe to Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani.

While the Glazer family have pondered over the pair's bids, information regarding what they will do if successful has been limited.

Both have set out broad ideologies about bringing the club and its supporters together again after a tumultuous few years. However, only Sheikh Jassim has set out a strategy on how he would like to do this.

Last week, The Mirror reported the Qatari billionaire would be open to welcoming Ole Gunnar Solskjaer back to the club in an ambassadorial role.

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Wednesday imposed a life ban on five former Olympians for trying to form a parallel body. PHF President Tariq Bugti said that former Olympian and internationals Nasir Ali, Khalid Bashir, Saleem Nazim, Abbas Ali and Haider Ali had been banned for life. "The PHF found them guilty of trying to run a parallel federation, stealing PHF records and using funds from a PHF account without approval," Bugti said.
