Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson has shared his sympathy for Manchester United captain Harry Maguire and admitted that he would welcome him if he moved to St James' Park.
Maguire has drawn staunch criticism from supporters for his appearances last season. When Erik ten Hag arrived at Old Trafford, many thought that he would strip the central defender of the armband.
Instead, Ten Hag backed his captain. However, this has not made him immune to being dropped. The 29-year-old was controversially called up for the England squad last month despite his lack of minutes at domestic level and it was during this time when he suffered an injury against Germany, which has since kept him from returning to the team.
