A new monthly market featuring local artisan products and food and drink stalls is to launch in an "unsung" part of Manchester city centre at the weekend.
The first MeadowSide Market will take place on Saturday, October 8, on Aspin Lane, near Angel Meadow Park. The plan is for the market to run on the second Saturday of every month.
It's all part of the organisers' plan to shine a spotlight on areas of Manchester that are currently "under-utilised". The area for the market is part of the NOMA district, where the huge Co-Op building looms just on the edge of the city centre.
The market will see a range of local, independent stalls alongside street food and drink with live music between 10am and 5pm.
