Netflix fans have been left so disturbed by a new film that is so “horrific” they have asked “what the hell did I just watch?” The Strays, which dropped on the platform on February 22, centres around Neve, a mixed-race woman living in a middle-class and predominantly white suburb in the UK.

She lives a happy life with husband Ian, but the arrival of a strange man and woman soon causes her to question her sanity as her picturesque life begins to unravel.

It stars Ashley Madekwe as Neve, alongside Jorden Myrie, Bukky Bakray, Maria Almeida, Samuel Small, Justin Salinger and Michael Warburton.

The psychological horror – from British actor and filmmaker Nat Martello-White in his feature debut – has so far received mixed reviews.
