Mum describes devastating 'knock at the door' after 'caring and clever' daughter found dead in field
A heartbroken mother has described the moment she heard a knock at the door before being told the body of her 'clever and talented' daughter had been found in a field.
Charlotte Elizabeth Lloyd was found in a field near Stoney Lane/Hemmingsway in Rainhill, near St Helens. The 28-year-old left Whiston Hospital in the early hours of Sunday, October 20, before the tragic discovery at around 8.35am.
Almost a week on from the death, her mum, Davinia Lloyd, has paid tribute to her daughter. She said: "She was so clever and talented artistically, whether that was musically, painting, everything she turned her hand to. "She was talented at a multitude of things.
She spent a lot of years in the mental health system and one person even said how she helped save her life. That's the type of person she was."
