(Photo: AFP)Nigeria Super Eagles and OGC Nice striker, Terem Moffi, has been nominated for the 2022-2023 Marc-Vivien Foe Award for the best African footballer playing in France’s Ligue 1.French news outlet France 24 and Radio France International (RFI), unveiled Moffi and 10 other nominees who will compete for the award.The award was named after former Cameroon international Foe who died on June 26, 2003, while in action in the semi-final of the Confederation Cup match against Colombia in Lyon, France.Moffi has scored 16 goals and made two assists in 27 appearances in the French topflight this season.Last week Thursday, he won Europa Conference League Goal of the Week award for his spectacular bicycle kick strike in Nice’s 2-2 draw at Basel.In 2020, Victor Osimhen won the award during his time at Lille Metropole.Meanwhile, other nominees for the best African footballer playing in France include Congolese defender Chancel Mbemba, and Zimbabwean midfielder Marshall Nyasha.Also nominated are Malian defender Hamari Traore, and Ghanaian midfielder Salis Abdul Samed.Follow Us
