Axed Michael Beale has declared that "his next decision will be the most important one" after being shown the door by Rangers.
The former coach under Steven Gerrard saw his Ibrox reign ended after less than a year in the hot seat following the 3-1 defeat at home to Aberdeen proved to be the final straw for the club board, who had watched the team fall seven points behind Celtic in the title race before the Scottish Premiership season had even reached October.
Kevin Muscat and Philippe Clement look to be battling it out to replace Beale before the league campaign comes out of cold storage against Hibs on October 21.
And while the Ibrox board are looking to the future, Beale also looks to be eyeing his next opportunity after his ill-fated tenure as Rangers main man in the dugout.
