Aussie ace Marco Tilio might not be interested in the Ashes but the new Bhoy is hoping to bowl over Celtic supporters. The 21-year-old won’t bat an eyelid at the cricket thanks to his football- daft family and Juventus-fan dad.
And he’s hoping it’s defenders who will be left stumped as he bids to make a quick first impression – again. Tilio has previous.
He scored within 75 seconds of his A-League debut for Sydney FC as an 18-year-old. A year later he was at it again when he notched against Argentina in the Tokyo Olympics with only his second touch in the Socceroos’ sensational 2-0 win.
When asked about his rapid impact debut, Tilio joked: “It wasn’t a bad start. i don’t know if it was my first or second touch but I definitely scored with my second touch at the Olympics against Argentina.
