Manchester United won't repeat the Jose Mourinho mistakes of five years ago this summer

For some Manchester United staffers the prospect of a return to the United States this summer will be enough to bring them out in a cold sweat.

The States is a favourite pre-season venue for players and fans, but five years ago the temperature under Jose Mourinho's collar was as hot as the air outside.

Mourinho complained about the absence of players due to the World Cup, a lack of progress on transfers, Antonio Valencia's off-season training and Anthony Martial's reluctance to return after the birth of his second child.
