Manchester United could be rivalled by several Premier League teams in their reported pursuit of Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.
The Spain international has been a pivotal part of the Bees side that launched a surprise challenge for a European place this season.
Raya, 27, was ever-present this season and kept an impressive 12 clean sheets as Thomas Frank’s side finished ninth. United are in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer, with David De Gea expected to play a lesser role next season if he does sign a new contract at Old trafford.
When Erik ten Hag was asked if he believed De Gea would extend his 12 years at the club, the manager replied, "Yes, but I will not say he'll always be my No.1 because in a club like Man United there must be competition in all positions.” READ: Manchester United centre-back bid isn't as obvious as it seems Raya has turned down multiple contract offers from the Bees and has one year remaining on his deal, leading Brentford boss Frank to slap a £40m price tag on the shot-stopper.
