Robbie Savage has questioned Manchester United over their "desperate" efforts to snap up Sergio Reguilon and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Premier League rivals Tottenham.
United have completed a deadline day loan transfer for Tottenham left-back Reguilon with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia currently injured.
United have also been credited with an interest in midfielder Hojbjerg but their primary target is Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat.
A move to bring the Moroccan to Old Trafford from Italian side Fiorentina is gathering pace.
