Manchester United will be hoping to make a winning start to their UEFA Champions League group stage campaign when they face Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.
United, who last faced the German heavyweights in a competitive fixture back in 2014, will be looking to bounce back from Saturday's 3-1 defeat at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Goals either side of half-time from Danny Welbeck, Pascal Gross and Joao Pedro condemned the Reds to their second successive defeat.
As a result of that latest setback, United have lost three of their opening five matches this season, meaning they take far from the ideal run of form into the tussle with Bayern.
