Manchester United predicted line-up vs Bayern Munich as Sergio Reguilon and Rasmus Hojlund start

Manchester United will be hoping to make a winning start to their UEFA Champions League group stage campaign when they face Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.

United, who last faced the German heavyweights in a competitive fixture back in 2014, will be looking to bounce back from Saturday's 3-1 defeat at home to Brighton & Hove Albion. As a result of that latest setback, United have lost three of their opening five matches this season, meaning they take far from the ideal run of form into the tussle with Bayern. Furthermore, the Reds' squad is currently plagued by injury issues, so much so that four goalkeepers have been included in the 21-man squad that has flown to Germany.

It means manager Erik ten Hag is now working with a much smaller squad than he would prefer.

However, despite all of the ongoing issues, summer signing Andre Onana is expected to continue in goal and make his first European appearance in United colours. The Cameroonian, who has kept just one clean sheet so far this season, helped Inter Milan reach the final of the Champions League last season.
