Manchester United are reportedly planning to bid for Real Madrid centre-back Antonio Rudiger. The former Chelsea defender only joined Los Blancos last year and club president Florentino Perez is said to be keen on keeping him beyond this summer.
However, El Nacional reports that United are planning to put together an offer that would appeal to both player and club with Rudiger now 30.
It claims a proposal of £50m with guarantees of game time could be tabled. Bumper wages would also be offered, which is hoped will tempt the player.
Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez are United's current first-choice centre-back pairing. However, the report claims United would be willing to offer Rudiger minutes on the pitch, something that Carlo Ancelotti cannot do at Real as he fights for game time with Eder Militao and David Alaba at the Bernabeu.
