Manchester United 'plan £50m offer' for Antonio Rudiger and more transfer rumours

Manchester United are reportedly planning to bid for Real Madrid centre-back Antonio Rudiger.

The former Chelsea defender only joined Los Blancos last year and club president Florentino Perez is said to be keen on keeping him beyond this summer. However, El Nacional reports that United are planning to put together an offer that would appeal to both player and club with Rudiger now 30.

It claims a proposal of £50m with guarantees of game time could be tabled. Bumper wages would also be offered, which is hoped will tempt the player. Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez are United's current first-choice centre-back pairing.

However, the report claims United would be willing to offer Rudiger minutes on the pitch, something that Carlo Ancelotti cannot do at Real as he fights for game time with Eder Militao and David Alaba at the Bernabeu.

Despite the report, centre-back is not considered one of the priority areas for United to bolster this summer, despite the probable exit of Harry Maguire.

A replacement for David de Gea is needed and may well come in the shape of Andre Onana while a striker signing is a necessity. Spanish outlet ABC says Joao Felix has asked agent Jorge Mendes to secure him a move away from Atletico Madrid.

His demands are said to have lowered from last summer after his quiet loan at Chelsea. Sport Witness says ABC claims to know that United have registered an interest in the 23-year-old, who apparently only wants a move to a club in the Champions League.
