After a couple of weeks of stagnation and frustration, Manchester United are about to announce their arrival in the summer transfer window.
Following no shortage of discussions, United have agreed a £60million deal with Chelsea to sign midfielder Mason Mount. It is understood that the Reds will pay £55m up-front and an additional £5m in add-ons.
Should everything with his medical go according to plan, Mount will become United's first signing of the summer, hopefully marking a turning point in the club's recruitment drive.
Manager Erik ten Hag is desperate to upgrade his squad with fresh talent and the additions of a new goalkeeper and a world-class striker are poised to be the next tasks to complete on his to-do list.
