Manchester United's American fanbase were at New York's John F Kennedy airport to greet the squad yesterday morning, but those minded to hang around may have got an early look at their new signing.

Andre Onana followed his prospective new teammates on an Aer Lingus flight later that day, having passed his medical at Carrington and agreed personal terms on a five-year deal.

He was confirmed as a United player at 7pm UK time, with £47.2million on it's way to Inter Milan's bank account. The 27-year-old became Erik ten Hag's second major signing of the summer, barring the short-term contract handed to Jonny Evans.
