The countdown to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is well and truly on with the tournament beginning in January. AFCON sees countries from across the continent compete to be crowned the champions of Africa.

And, as always, there will be plenty of Premier League stars making the trip to host nation Ivory Coast. However, unlike a regular international break, domestic action in England will continue while the competition is taking place meaning Premier League clubs will be without certain players during the tournament.

AFCON will be held between January 13 and February 11 with 24 teams battling it out for glory.
