Manchester United have been credited with an interest in Torino defender Alessandro Buongiorno. Erik ten Hag is expected to search for a new centre-back this year, being one of his four areas of targeted squad improvement.

Raphael Varane is set to leave the club this summer as things stand with his contract expiring in June. The 2018 World Cup winner feels he is being pushed out of Old Trafford and is unsure whether he will sign a reduced-terms renewal if he is offered one after United indicate they would not extend his current contract.

Victor Lindelof has had his year-long contract extension triggered while Harry Maguire’s contract runs for another 18 months.

Jonny Evans penned a 12-month deal last year and there's a possibility he is asked to stay on given his performances.
