Manchester United are considering making Alejandro Garnacho their new number seven as his stratospheric rise continues. Garnacho, 18, only made his first-team debut against Chelsea in April last year but he has already established himself as one of United's most captivating forwards.
The No.7 was vacated by Cristiano Ronaldo in November when he forced his departure and Garnacho, who currently dons the number 49, signed a five-year contract in April.
Garnacho would become the first teenage recipient of the No.7 since Ronaldo in 2003. Also read: United tracking MLS goalkeeper United's most fabled squad number has been 'cursed' since Ronaldo first left in 2009.
Michael Owen, Antonio Valencia, Angel Di Maria, Memphis Depay, Alexis Sanchez and Edinson Cavani all disappointed while Ronaldo's second stint ended acrimoniously.
