Manchester United have an ‘offer ready to go’ for PSV Eindhoven winger Cody Gakpo, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth. The Red Devils are aiming to improve their attacking options before the transfer window slams shut on September 1 and could turn their attention to the talented 23-year-old.

David Ornstein of The Athletic reported that United have seen an offer of €80 million (£67.6m) turned down by Ajax for their first-choice target Antony.

It’s claimed that Erik ten Hag’s charges are not optimistic of their chances of landing the Brazil international and view Gakpo as a ‘more likely’ option of the two Eredivisie stars.

And The Telegraph then stated that United ‘will submit a formal bid’ for Gakpo and that they are now ‘expected to sign’ him from his boyhood club.
