Manchester City welcome Newcastle United to the Etihad Stadium this lunchtime as the Blues aim to close the gap on Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola's side are in high spirits after two back-to-back victories against Bournemouth and Bristol City this week. The latter victory set up an intriguing FA Cup quarter-final tie with Vincent Kompany's Burnley.

However, all focus is back on the league campaign today as City continue to chase down the Gunners. Mikel Arteta's side beat Everton 4-0 in midweek to open up a five point advantage over the Blues.

That will be cut to two points on Saturday if City can beat Eddie Howe's men. Arsenal do not play until 3pm when they host Bournemouth.
