Manchester City are happy with the balance of their squad as the transfer window approaches its Friday night deadline. City have one final day to make any additions to Pep Guardiola's squad having signed Savinho and re-signed Ilkay Gundogan in a largely-quiet summer.

Julian Alvarez has been the highest-profile departure as he joined Atletico Madrid, while fringe players Sergio Gomez, Joao Cancelo and Kalvin Phillips have exited either permanently or on loan.

In response to the business, the Blues have added James McAtee to their senior squad after two years on loan at Sheffield United, with Oscar Bobb set for an increased role before his injury and Nico O'Reilly also now an option. But Sporting Director Txiki Begiristain, in charge of City's transfer business, declared on Thursday that City have a 'deep enough' squad with the balance the Blues need to challenge on four fronts.
