Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been named vice president of the United Arab Emirates, one of several appointments made by Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the nation.
Sheikh Mansour was appointed into the new role on Wednesday, following previous positions as Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Minister of the Presidential Court.
He will share the position of with the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, who has held the title since 2006. A short statement read: “The UAE president has issued a resolution, with the approval of the UAE Federal Supreme Council.
