Maidstone's Wembley dream is over after losing to Barnet on penalties in the FA Trophy Quarter-Finals. The tie went the distance after a 2-2 draw at the Gallagher Stadium, with the Bees winning 4-3 on spot-kicks.

Sol Wanjau-Smith, who scored from the spot in normal time, hit the bar in the shoot-out and Jack Barham's effort was saved. Roarie Deacon gave Maidstone an early lead but goals from Finley Potter and David Moyo put Barnet in front by the break.

Wanjau-Smith’s Panenka spot-kick drew United level as United made a flying start to the second half but, with no further goals, the tie went to penalties.

Bivesh Gurung was rewarded for his bright midweek substitute appearance at Wealdstone with a start as caretaker boss George Elokobi made two changes.
