Liverpool‘s start to the 2022/23 season has been far from great. The team who pushed Manchester City all the way in the battle for the title last time out are already four points behind Pep Guardiola’s men.
Liverpool’s first two matches of the new Premier League season have seen them draw with newly-promoted Fulham and, most recently, Crystal Palace.
The stalemate versus the latter on Monday evening was certainly an eventful affair, with £85 million summer signing Darwin Nunez shown a straight red card for headbutting Joachim Andersen.
Liverpool actually equalised after the striker was dismissed from the field of play through Luis Diaz and they probably deserved to win the match, as they were the better side even with 10 men.
