Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips is reportedly a target for Liverpool ahead of the January transfer window. Phillips is widely expected to leave the Etihad Stadium this winter after failing to break into the starting line-up following his 2022 arrival from Leeds United.
Pep Guardiola recently apologised to the 28-year-old for not playing him as frequently as he would have liked. This admission opened the doors to speculation about Phillips with the likes of Newcastle United, Everton and Juventus linked with his signing.
According to Calciomercato, Jurgen Klopp has thrown his hat into the ring at the last minute. However, Liverpool remain one of the Blues' biggest rivals in the Premier League so this could halt any interest. It is claimed, should City have the choice, they would like to see the midfielder move to Juve instead of remaining in England.
