A man has been taken to hospital after emergency services were called to the A4232 on Thursday morning. The dual carriageway was shut for a time to allow the air ambulance to land at the scene near Culverhouse Cross.South Wales Police aid one man has been taken to the University Hospital of Wales.The incident was reported at 11.42am and the road was re-opened just before 1pm.

There is still some congestion on surrounding routes through Twyn-yr-odyn. Travel time is around 25 minutes.A police statement said: "Motorists are thanked for their patience which officers and paramedics dealt with the situation."A multi-vehicle accident on the M4 at junction 24 Coldra is also causing long delays on the network on Thursday.
