Virgin Media down: Live updates as users report problems across UK

Hundreds of people have reported issues with Virgin Media Broadband on Wednesday, saying they can't access the internet with the provider.

There are several reports on social media and on Down Detector showing an outage, with others saying they can't access the service but that no problems are being reported.

According to Down Detector, problems started in the early hours of the morning with a large spike of reports. These dropped not long after but have started rising again on Wednesday morning.It appears as though 76% of users reported problems with their landline internet and 16% experienced a total outage.

Around 8% also struggled with TV connection. Customers were unhappy on social media with the service. One person said: "Our Internet has been down for 11 hours.
