LIVE: Police cordon off busy city centre road with forensics on scene - latest updates

A police cordon is in place on a busy road in Manchester city centre this morning. Pictures show a stretch of Whitworth Street West taped off, near a number of nightclubs and bars.

At least two police vehicles are on the scene, including a Crime Scene Investigation van. Forensic officers have placed evidence markers within the cordon.
