LIVE: M62 traffic delays heading into Manchester after car bursts into flames - updates

Police have partially closed one carriageway of the M62 heading into Manchester from Yorkshire, causing long delays. North West Motorway Police tweeted that a car was on fire on the westbound carriageway of the M62 between junctions 22 and 21, at Milnrow near Rochdale on Wednesday afternoon.

They said all occupants on board the car 'are safe' but that two of the three lanes of the motorway have been closed to allow the emergency services to deal with the incident.
