BREAKING: Police cordon off road after attack on man - latest updates

A road in Longsight has been cordoned off by police after an attack on a man. Emergency services were called to the scene of the assault on Dickenson Road at around 11am this morning (Monday).

A man - aged in his 30s - was rushed to hospital with a head injury. Another man - aged in his 20s - was arrested on suspicion of assault.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "At around 11am this morning (Monday 24 July 2023) officers were called to reports that a man had been assaulted on Dickenson Road, Manchester. "A man in his 30s has been taken to hospital with an injury to his head, which is believed not to be life-threatening or life-changing.
