All traffic has been stopped on a major Manchester motorway this morning after a crash closed part of the carriageway. Emergency services raced to the M60 anticlockwise between J27 A6188 Tiviot Way (Portwood Roundabout) and J25 A6017 Ashton Road (Brinnington) at around 7:40am on Sunday (September 24).

Queues are forming as traffic is held from just before the J27 slip road. The incident is expected to take several hours to clear, according to National Highways.
