A stretch of a main road in Trafford has been closed off by police after a crash. Emergency services, including police officers and paramedics, are currently on the scene on Barton Road in Stretford.

The road is reportedly shut in both directions, near the junction with Kingsway and Urmston Lane. It has not yet been confirmed how many vehicles are involved or whether anyone is seriously injured.

Traffic is being diverted away from the area, with some bus services on diversion routes.
