New Dundee United boss Liam Fox has revealed Jack Ross was one of the first to reach out to him to congratulate him after landing the job.

Fox was Ross ' number two at Tanandice and took the reins on an interim basis after he was sacked just six games into the season.

It had been a disastrous start, with the Arabs losing five league games on the spin conceding 17 goals in the process as well as shipping seven to AZ Alkmaar to bow out of Europe with a whimper.

Improved performances as stand-in boss saw Fox land the job on a permanent basis and after an encouraging display away to Rangers, he's now hoping to push on and make his mark.
